Halloween is right around the corner. I recently spied a gray bearded man wearing leather chaps and a doo-rag riding on his Harley. What made it funny was the full sized skeleton strapped behind him; its jaws snapping up and down rapidly as the biker hit a bump.
Flapping jaws remind me of times I can't keep my mouth shut. Or of times when others can't keep their mouths shut. "The mouths of fools are their undoing, and their lips are a snare to their very lives. The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to the inmost parts." Proverbs 18:7-8.
Father, thank you for humor. It helps with life lessons! I trust You to keep working on me from the inside out. Amen.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29
