A close girlfriend recently commented, “My life....is a mess...but, God is taking this mess and making something beautiful out of it because I’ve asked Him for help.”
I can relate to messes in my own life. Many messes have been my fault, while others have been out of my control.
What I’ve learned about messes is that if I trust God with my whole heart; obey His Word, and ask for His help; He makes things right EVERY time. The catch is that I give complete control to Him and quit trying to manipulate the outcome. My job is to trust, obey and pray....and to clean up any areas in my life that are not right with God;. My job is to do things His way, not my way. The prophet Jeremiah writes, “And you will seek Me and find me when you search for Me with all your heart.” (29:13)
James writes, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (1:2-4)
Father, only You can bring beauty out of ashes. Help me to trust You with every circumstance that crosses my path; be it be good or bad. Thank you that You can make messes beautiful when we fully trust and obey You and Your Word. Amen.
"Now to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever."
Ephesians 3:20-12
